Kathe Frake is originally a native Southern Californian who has been living in New York for the last 18 years. She was always interested in drawing and has worked in oils, watercolors, and acrylics. She is mostly a self-taught artist, taking a few classes throughout the years.

Looking to fo fill up new time as her last moved out, she walked into a "Reflections" painting group at the Arts on the Lake in Kent Lakes, NY and met Alex Shundi. It was he who encouraged her to try new avenues and experimentation in painting. With his encouragement, Ms. Frake discovered "Abstract" and developed a whole new approach and look to her work.
